How does the LiveStream work?

The LiveStream allows you to earn 30 Credits from the comfort of your home or office. You may listen to engaging presentations, view the speakers’ presentation slides, and participate in Q&A sessions. You will be given login credentials to the LiveStream Portal prior to the conference start date. You may view the LiveStream on your Smartphone, Tablet, or Computer. You will receive Live Credits for the LiveStream as it is a live broadcast of our Conference. Instructions regarding the credit claiming process will be given upon the start of the conference.

What are the technical requirements for viewing the LiveStream?

A: Generally, if you are able to watch YouTube or Netflix, you will have no issue watching the LiveStream on your device. The following information is from our technical team regarding technical requirements.

“In have the best LiveStream experience, make sure you have the most up-to-date browser and an Internet connection of at least 1 Mbps.

  • Operating system: Windows 7+, Mac OS X 10.7+, Ubuntu 10+, or Linux OS 11+ (64-bit)
  • Most recent version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, or Opera
  • If you have an older browser or operating system, you will need the most recent version of Adobe Flash Player
  • Closing other tabs or browsers while streaming will also help”

Can I ask the speakers questions if I am live streaming?

A: If you are live streaming one of our In-Person Conferences, you may use our Q&A platform to ask the speakers questions in real time. During LiveStream rebroadcast conferences, you will view a pre-recorded Q&A session featuring our most popular questions from recent conferences.

Can I earn credits from watching the conference recordings?

A: Because we offer live CME credits, credits may only be earned through participation during the LiveStream or In-Person. The recordings are intended to be used for reference and review of the material only, and do not provide credits.

However, you may register for our CME OnDemand Course. This course allows you to earn your credits at your own pace as long as you claim credits by September 30, 2022.

How long will the conference recordings be available to watch?

A: The recordings will be accessible for 60 days post-conference to those that have purchased them.

 

If I sign up for the LiveStream, will the CME credits still count as ‘live’?

A: Yes. Because the conference is live streamed, the credits count as ‘live’ credits.

How do I access the presentation slides at LiveStream conferences?

A: You will be given access to the presentation slides within the AMF portal.

How do I access my CME certificate?

A: You will receive an email containing credit claiming instructions 2 days prior to the start date of the conference and immediately after the conference. You will need to follow the instructions provided to claim your credits and receive your CME certificate.

Will I have the opportunity to ask the speaker questions during the conference?

A: Our In-Person Conferences will feature the opportunity to ask speakers questions.

 

Do I need to sign in every day?

A: At in-person conferences, you must sign in daily on the sign in sheets provided at the Registration Desk in order to receive CME credits for that day. If you are live streaming the conference, there is no need to sign in.

If I am not attending the full conference, how many CME credits will I earn?

A: Our conferences offer 30 Live CME Credits. You will earn 8.25 CME credits per day on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 5.25 CME credits on Sunday, totaling 30 Credits for the full conference. This applies to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, AAFP Prescribed Credits, and ABIM MOC II Points.

Can I receive ABIM MOC II points?

A: Yes, to receive ABIM MOC II points, we require you to provide your ABIM number and birthdate as well as completion of a post-test. MOC II points will be reported to the ABIM by the accrediting institution.

Can I earn prescribed AAFP credits?

A: Yes, our conferences and courses are accredited for Prescribed AAFP credits.

Can I earn Live AAFP credits if I choose to LiveStream the conference?

A: Yes.

What is your refund policy?

A: You may cancel your registration for a refund until 14 days before the start of the conference. Cancellations incur a $50 refund fee. “No Shows” are subject to the full conference fee.  

Will you provide a syllabus?

A: Yes. Our syllabus for each conference and course can be found on the corresponding event page/course page on our website. A downloadable PDF version of the syllabus will be provided to LiveStreamers 2-days prior to the start date of a conference. In-person attendees will receive a printed program on the first day of a conference.

Are there any refreshments provided?

A: If attending in person, a light breakfast is served each morning, along with two snack breaks (one in the morning and one in the afternoon). Coffee and tea are also provided all day.

If I want to switch to the LiveStream or vice-versa, can I do so without being penalized?

A: Yes, just email us at contact@amf-cme.org and we can switch your registration over.

Do you have a DUNS number?

A: Yes, our DUNS number is 081149000.

 

How does CME OnDemand work?

A: Immediately after registering for the CME OnDemand Course, you will receive a confirmation email with your login credentials. You will then enter these credentials in the AMF Portal in order to begin the course. Once you have viewed the final lecture, you will be prompted to claim your credits. The OnDemand credit claiming deadline is January 15, 2024.

What is the difference between the LiveStream Conference and CME OnDemand?

A: If you participate in the CME OnDemand Course, you may view the lectures at any time, as long as you claim credits by January 15, 2024. If you participate in the LiveStream, you must view the conference live in order to claim credits.

Does the CME OnDemand Course need to be completed in one sitting?

A: No. After purchasing CME OnDemand, you will have access to the course until the credit claiming deadline of January 15, 2024.
